Tasks can now start when Gmail, Slack, or GitHub changes. Sharing a task creates a separate copy that uses the recipient’s connected apps.
- Who gets it / what it costs
Event triggers require Work on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu, or eligible Healthcare. Free and Go cannot create them. Active limits run from five to fifteen. The shared cap is 30 runs per hour and 720 per day.

Try a Gmail trigger that drafts a summary. Check what starts the task and review its output before allowing it to send anything.
Healthcare boundary Event-triggered tasks are not covered by a BAA. Do not use them for protected health information.

Editing boundary You need Can comment access or higher. It works on text, headings, to-do items, and lists, not inline databases, database properties, or peek-view pages.
