Automation
ChatGPT can watch for work. Start with drafts.
The setup separates the trigger, condition, and prompt so you can inspect what starts the work. See the setup and limits ↗
- What it does
Scheduled tasks no longer need a clock. They can start when Gmail, Slack, or GitHub changes. A shared task becomes an independent copy that uses the recipient's connected apps.
- Who gets it / what it costs
Event triggers require Work on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu, or eligible Healthcare. Free and Go cannot create them. Active limits run from five to fifteen. The shared cap is 30 runs per hour and 720 per day.
- Your move
Do not start with sending. Start with one Gmail filter that drafts a summary. Check the trigger, condition, prompt, approval, and recipient before you turn it on.
Healthcare boundary Event-triggered tasks are not covered by a BAA. Do not use them for protected health information.
Writing
Notion finally gives the agent an approval layer
The original text stays visible while the agent's proposed changes wait for approval. Check what suggested edits support ↗
- What it does
The important word is "suggest." Notion Agent proposes line-level changes for you to approve or reject. It does not have to rewrite the page first and ask for forgiveness later.
- Who gets it / what it costs
Every user gets Notion Agent. Free and Plus have a limited trial. Business and Enterprise include it. Notion disclosed no separate price for suggested edits.
- Your move
Use it on one real draft. Accept each change separately. Keep a screenshot of what you accepted and rejected. That is a better test than asking whether the output "looks good."
Editing boundary You need Can comment access or higher. It works on text, headings, to-do items, and lists, not inline databases, database properties, or peek-view pages.
Team workflows
Slackbot is turning instructions into team infrastructure
One Skill Set packages several reusable instructions and shows where the bundle is shared and used. See what Slackbot shipped ↗
- What it does
Big Mode gives Slackbot a full-screen workspace. Skill Sets package up to 25 reusable instructions. Deep Research searches Slack and the web, then returns a cited report.
- Who gets it / what it costs
Slack says the features are rolling out gradually. Its public release does not disclose eligible plans, included usage, or a separate price.
- Your move
Put three team instructions into one Skill Set. Ask five people to run the same task. Compare the output and usage before distributing it.
Sharing boundary A shared skill is not a policy. Review its instructions and connected sources before assigning it to a channel or user group.

Before you pay for anything
Three questions before checkout
- Do I already have it?Check your current plan before buying another one.
- What is the real limit?Find the task allowance, usage cap, or end date.
- What can it touch?Check whether it reads an inbox, keeps history, changes a page, or produces a number someone may act on.
15-minute no-code try
Make a model you can check
The generated result is interactive. That makes the inputs and output easier to test than a static answer. Open the official example ↗
Ask Gemini to visualize a cash-burn model with three inputs. Change one input. Then check the result in a spreadsheet. Keep the prompt, inputs, output screenshot, and verified number.
Term without the jargon
Event-triggered task
A saved instruction that starts when another app changes, such as a new email or pull-request update.
The OpenAI sandbox incident, Drive security labels, Transcribe API economics, and Claude compliance coverage belong in the Builder edition →.
